Pack your aprons and imagination—we’re headed to the islands! In this tropical homeschool cooking class, students will take a flavorful journey through the Hawaiian islands, learning about island culture and traditions while preparing some of Hawaii’s most beloved local dishes.
Students will:
🔥 Grill up sweet and smoky Huli Huli Chicken Wings
🍙 Assemble tasty Spam Musubi just like they serve at island snack shops
đź’ś Mix and bake soft, chewy Ube Mochi
🍰 Finish with a slice of fruity, creamy Hawaiian Dream Cake
This class is designed for homeschoolers of all skill levels and is perfect for curious young cooks eager to explore new flavors. By the end, students will have a mini luau on their plates—and plenty of aloha in their hearts!
Ticket: Valid for one person. To book for two people you will need to add a quantity of two to your cart. A coupon for one class free automatically applies at checkout when you book for three class dates!
Date: Thursday August 28th
Time : 10am to 12pm
1pm to 3pm
Classes run time from 1 to 2 ½ hrs depending on guest arrival and recipe completion.
Any guests arriving 15 minutes past class start time will not be admitted with no refund. No leftovers will be allowed to be taken home. You will work in groups of four.
Corpus Christi Cooking Club recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with Corpus Christi Cooking Club before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class. Each guest will get a generous taste of the dish.
You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
Aprons will be provided
Some portions of the class will be done before guests arrive in order to ensure that the class finishes on time. This is a demo with hands-on elements. At the end of this class you will receive a recipe card so you can try out your newfound skills at home!
